Share the Repair | Grandpa's Memory

Posted On:
June 22, 2023

A piece of jewelry can keep you connected to Grandpa.

Michael brought us this wedding band that had belonged to his grandfather. Since it had now passed to Michael, he wanted it cleaned up and repaired so he could wear it as his grandfather did. The ring needed to be sized to fit Michael, but the channels holding the diamonds also needed rebuilt. The metal in that area had thinned and worn away over time, so it left the diamonds susceptible to loosening or falling out. That's a common project for our shop, so we got to work!

Once the ring was sized and more metal added to the channels, we made sure all the diamonds were tight, gave the ring a bright polish, and rhodium plated the top. It turned out great! We're honored to help Michael keep his grandfather's memory close through this important piece of jewelry.

If you have a meaningful piece that holds significant memories, but is damaged or wrongly-sized, bring it to Jack Lewis! We'll restore it and keep it going for years to come. We know what it means to you. Don't give up on it just yet.
