Few things can preserve a loved one's memory like a piece of jewelry.

Roberta brought in a beautiful four diamond ring that didn't fit. Her sister had recently passed away, and this ring came from her sister's three ring wedding set. (The other rings from the set were passed on to her sister's daughters, but Roberta got to keep this one.) Rather than let it sit in a drawer, she wanted to wear it! But it needed a bit more than just a re-sizing... so we got to work!

The bottom of the ring was too thin, so we needed to replace the bottom half with a new thicker piece of gold, and also make it the right size at the same time. The prongs on either end of the diamonds were getting thin as well. Both these issues are caused by normal wear and tear, especially when a piece is very well-loved by the original owner. So after the shank and sizing were done, we retipped the prongs, added on a final polish and rhodium plating, and the ring looked brand new again! Now Roberta has a very special ring from her sister that she can enjoy every day... just like her sister did.

Wearing a piece of jewelry can help you remember a special person more frequently. So if you have a meaningful piece that isn't wearable for some reason, bring it to Jack Lewis! We'll restore it and keep the memories going. We know what it means to you. Don't give up on it just yet.
