"It was a night of brownies and bracelets, eggs and excellence. It was a night where two community leaders were honored to provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to local girls.

Honorees ISU President Larry Dietz and first lady Marlene Dietz are pillars in the community and honoring them enhanced the mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character.

Troops 1436 and 1387 painted colorful goose eggs that were part of the 20 silent auction items.  One of the highlights of the night is a dessert competition featuring Janet’s Peanut Butter Tagalongs Mousse Cake made from Girl Scout Tagalongs;  Sugar Mama with Sa’mama Brownies made from Girl Scout Samoas and DollFace Desserts  Tropical Bombshell made from Girl Scout Savannah Smiles.

The Judges’ Choice winner was Janet’s and  DollFace Desserts won the People’s Choice Award.

All monies raised are used to provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to local girls. The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities like earning badges, going on awesome trips, selling cookies, exploring science, getting outdoors, and doing community service projects."
